| This is the funniest thing i've seen in a long time. http://maps.google.com/maps?f=d&hl=en&saddr=Washington+DC&daddr=London,+UK&sll=38.895,-77.036667&sspn=0.177692,0.4319&layer=&ie=UTF8&z=4&om=1 Look at line 21. Now I know why everyone at google stays at work so late. They are creating things like this =) | | |
| 1st it was the disaster of ordering the dresses in Asia. So I finally thought that I solved the problem by reordering them in the US. Another disaster, this time the style was right but the color was sooo off. How could the color be so different than what I was expecting to get. The little swatches in the store lie... they really do not give you a good idea of what the dress looks like in different colors. So i've been up all night trying on the dress and trying to figure out how to make it work. Finally, I sit down and just give up. The dress is a lost cause. There is nothing that can be done. The pink of the dress is so disgusting that it almost makes me want to gag everytime I open the digital picture on the computer. So what does this mean: 1) live with the ugly dress for the rest of my life (popping in and out of the wedding pictues) or 2) reorder the dresses once again (this may not even be possible since we are only two months away from our wedding). Sometimes I just sit here and get so frustrated because things are just not falling into place but I guess that's all part of the wedding planning process. | | |
| Why is it that when you want to sleep you can't sleep? Perhaps there is too much on your mind or could it be the fact that you have stopped eating before sleeping to try to lose those last few pounds before the wedding? I think the answer is clearly the second theory. What is really keeping you awake is not being able to consume those yummy, deep fried, 500 calorie packs of instant noodles (with an egg) right before sleeping. Aiyyy... it sounds so good but I must resist. So instead I will blog. What has been new in my life? Not much. Everyday I wait anxiously for the mailman to come and deliver the mail and see who has RSVP'd. It's so exciting to open up those little ivory colored envelopes just to see who will be able to make it. Then after I check our online registries to what gifts have been purchased. The power of the internet is soo amazing. People can just go to our webpage and peruse our pre-selected gifts in the comfort of their homes or offices and purchase gifts online. It's so awesome. Okay I know it may not seem awesome but trust me you will think it's awesome when you start planning your own weddings. Anyways, I was trying to make this blog not about the wedding since people keep telling me that I am eating, breathing, sleeping WEDDING stuff. But once again it has reverted back to wedding talk. Maybe because my life is pretty boring without it... P.S. My obsession with trying to make things perfect for the wedding has already driven away two of my friends from wanting to have a wedding. Their solutions are as follows: 1) Don't have a wedding and elope in Vegas. 2) Hire a full time wedding planner to take care of the whole wedding. At least I didn't scare anyone away from marriage jsut the wedding. | | |
| We just got our wedding invitations in today!!! I was super excited when I went to pick them up. Many hours spent slaving over proofs and getting everything perfect to the tee at the store paid off. They look spectacular and I'm so happy with them. I was doing a happy happy invitation dance at home and my brother looked at me like I was a mad women. I proceeded to give him a presentation of "the wedding invitation" to which he answered "that's nice, it's a card". Guys, guys, guys... What can I say?? At least he sat through my presentation | | |
| I recently got back from Omaha, Nebraksa. All I have to say is that the steak out there is amazing. Every restaurant that you go to serves steak. Not only do they serve steak but its super delicious and juicy. To compliment the steaks they serve bleu cheese mashed potatoes, as if regular mashed potatoes weren't enough. YUMMM!! Only in the midwest do they add ingredients with the max number of calories whenever possible. But I was definitely not complaining. I definitely think that everyone should make a trip to Omaha sometime in their lifetime.
Anyways, I'm sure everyone's wondering why I was in Nebraska for the first place. The steak of course. Just Kidding. The real reason I was there was because my whole family went out there to attend my brothers white coat ceremony at the University of Nebraska Medical College. It was so great seeing my brother get his white coat. It's everything that he's been working so hard for in high school and college. I was so proud of him. The best thing was seeing how proud my parents were of him. It's going to be a tough four years for him but when he's done, he's going to make the best doctor ever.
